"~이 진행중이다"를 표현하는 다양한 방법

Did you know that there are nearly 200 COVID19 vaccines that are in the works worldwide?
If you look at this chart, it shows that there are quite a few vaccines currently undergoing different phases of clinical trials.
I'm sure you've heard by now that Pfizer is leading in this effort.
In fact, as we speak, Pfizer is preparing to file for an authorization with the FDA for an emergency use of their vaccine.
Once that's in the pipeline, the focus will be on how to bring it to the market as soon as possible.
Fortunately, a lot of effort is underway to move things along quickly.
Nonetheless, a fully approved vaccine will take a lot longer than any of us are hoping.
But it's certainly good to know that there is a solution coming our way.
"~가 진행중이다"와 비슷한 의미로 쓰인 표현은 연두색, 그 외에 알아둘만한 표현은 핑크색으로 표시해였다.
1. in the works
: 포괄적인 의미로 "~이 진행중인, ~이 개발중인, ~이 개발중인"의 의미를 갖는다. (being planned or in progress)

: A가 B 라는 과정을 거치는 중인

3. in the pipeline/underway
첫번째 표현은 직역하면 파이프라인 안에 있다는 의미이므로 이 표현도 역시 어떤 것이 진행중이라는 의미

4. A come one's way
직역하면 A가 누군가(one) 쪽으로 온다는 뜻이므로 A라는 상황이 one에게 일어나거나 발생한다는 의미이다. 그리고 더 나아가서는 어떤 사람(one)이 이용할 수 있는 A가 찾아온다(something becomes available)는 의미로 쓰이기도 한다.

5. as we speak
"바로 지금, 이순간" 이라는 의미를 표현하는 조금 더 formal 한 표현이며 아주 많이 쓰임.
as we speak 가 수식하는 문장이 앞에 나와도 되고, 뒤에 나와도 된다.
6. file for something (with something < something에는 사람/기관 등이 올 수 있다. )
어떤 절차를 공식적으로 요청할 때 쓰이는 표현이다.
