MIT Sloan - Master in Finance 어드미션 제출 서류 정리

MIT Master in Finance 과정의 Application due 는 2020년 1월 6일 3:00 p.m.(EST)이다. 

Due date 이전에도 어플리케이션 제출은 가능하지만 제출 이후에 새로운 시험 성적 리포팅은 불가능하니 주의가 필요하다. 

Master in Finance 지원에 필요한 서류 : 

1. Resume

(*) 1페이지로 작성

(**) 학교에서 요구하는 템플릿을 이용해서 아래 가이드라인에 따라 작성해야 함.

• Education - please list institutions where degree is in progress or was awarded in reverse chronological order. Please feel free to include information about study abroad activities, relevant awards, scholarships, professional societies
• Work Experience - please list in reverse chronological order and include: company name, title, results-oriented bullets that demonstrate your skill set, and dates.
• Additional information - languages, extracurricular activities/community service, technical skills/certifications, special skills/interests (if appropriate)

2. 짧은 에세이

에세이 주제는 다음과 같다. 문항당 200자의 제한이 있다. 

• Question 1: Please discuss past academic and professional experiences and accomplishments that will help you succeed in the Master of Finance program. Include achievements in finance, math, statistics, and computer sciences, as applicable.
• Question 2: Describe your short-term and long-term professional goals. How will our MFin degree help you achieve these goals?
• Question 3: Please share personal qualities that will enable you to contribute to the advancement of our mission.

(*)The mission of the Master of Finance program at MIT Sloan is to create the next generation of principled, global financial leaders with state-of-the-art training in modern finance theories and methods.

MIF 프로그램의 Goal은 "To attract students who go on to advance financial management practice and improve the world" 라고 하니 에세이에 잘 녹여내는 작업이 무엇보다 중요하겠다.

 

3. Video Question 1

Classmates에게 스스로가 Finance Industry에 왜 관심이 있는지 설명하는 60초짜리 비디오 녹화본

(*) 편집하지 않은 Single take 여야 하며, 녹화시 QuickTime or iMovie 등의 앱 이용할 것을 권장

 

학교 입학시 이러한 영상을 준비해보지 않은 한국 학생들에겐 생소하고 조금 어려워보인다..

 

4. Video Question 2

어플리케이션의 다른 항목들을 모두 완성하고 나면, 어플리케이션 시스템 내에 Random Question이 생성되어 60초 동안 답변하는 영상을 업로드해야 한다. 질문은 Simple, open-ended general interest question 이며 MIT Sloan culture에 지원자가 얼마나 fit한지, 지원자의 표현 능력 등을 평가하기 위함이다.

 

 

5. 3장의 추천서

1장은 교수님에게, 1장은 직장에서, 나머지 1장은 둘중에 하나를 선택하면 된다.

• How long and in what capacity have you known the applicant?
• How does the applicant stand out from others in a similar capacity?
• Please give an example of the applicant's impact on a person, group, or organization.
• Please give a representative example of how the applicant interacts with other people.
• Which of the applicant's personal or professional characteristics would you change?
• If you are an academic/technical recommender, please tell us how well the applicant mastered the subject you taught or supervised and in what ways the applicant demonstrated this mastery.
• Please tell us anything else you think we should know about this applicant

 

6. 영문 학업성적표 (Transcripts)

다음의 Course 를 공부했거나 공부하고 있는 중이라면, 학교측에 알리는 것도 도움이 된다.

: Calculus, Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, Probability, Differential Equations, Statistics, Computer Programming, and Econometrics.

 

 

7. GMAT or GRE

• GMAT School Code: X5X-QS-69
• GRE School Code: 3845

 

8. TOEFL or IELTS

 영어가 모국어가 아니거나, 영어권 국가에서 학부를 졸업하지 않은 경우에 영어 성적 제출이 필요하다. 

 

 

9. Application Fee : $150.00

 

 

TOP ranking 과정이니 만큼 요구하는 서류들도 많고 까다로운 것 같다.
